Job description

We are seeking a friendly and professional Concierge to join our team at a luxury residential building in Brooklyn. This position is part of a union-represented team and offers the opportunity to provide exceptional service in a premier residential environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a welcoming first point of contact for residents and guests while helping maintain a safe, secure, and inviting community.

Job requirements

Welcome residents, guests, and vendors with a warm, professional, and service-oriented approach.

  • Monitor lobby activity, notify residents of arriving guests and deliveries, and help maintain a secure building environment.

  • Manage building access, visitor and contractor logs, security monitors, and keys as needed.

  • Assist residents with packages, deliveries, service requests, directions, and general building information.

  • Provide helpful recommendations for local dining, entertainment, transportation, and services.

  • Receive maintenance requests and coordinate with the maintenance team when necessary.

  • Answer incoming calls professionally and provide clear directions or building instructions.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby, entrance, work area, and shared spaces.

  • Respond to emergencies in accordance with established building procedures.

  • Support management with resident requests and daily building operations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality or a related field is a plus.

  • Previous concierge, front desk, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Proficiency with computers, including word processing, calendar management, BuildingLink/ManageCo, and KeyLink systems.

  • Must be well-groomed, dependable, and maintain a positive, professional attitude.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift packages as needed.

  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
